Polka dot, polka dot, time for the circus, Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

If your house is anything like mine, the dull roar of children's voices goes quiet when a commercial for Madagascar 3 appears on the television. Whether it's Marty singing the Polka dot song or the penguins making trouble, the characters of Madagascar 3 bring smiles to my kids faces.

Recently, my family was given the opportunity to see Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted in 3D. I received an astounding double thumbs up from my kids and a huge approval from me. The movie starts with the beloved characters Alex, Marty, Melman and Gloria still trying to make it home to their beloved NYC zoo. With the nasty French animal control policewoman on their trail, the gang teams up with circus. As the journey throughout Europe, the two "families" come together to find that they can achieve all their dreams.

Madagascar 3 will be a must see on many families lists. There is something for every age group in this movie. Adults will find humor in many of the jokes (after all how often do you hear bababooie in a kids movie). Kids will enjoy the bright colors, action and songs. While I often pass on the 3D option (I don't like the glasses), I feel that this movie is a must see in 3D. With all the acrobatic scenes and action, you might miss much of the action in a regular movie.

Most importantly about this film is that it has heart. At its core, the movie has a good message. I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone, but if you don't leave with a smile on your face I will be surprised.

Madagascar 3:  Europe's Most Wanted will definitely be a must see movie of the summer. We will see you at the movies.

Disclosure: I was able to attend a screening of this movie with my family. All opinions are mine own and I was not compensated for this post.
