A test to friendship, Rizzoli & Isles cliffhanger

There are moments in your life that alter your path. maybe you have an inclination that some cataclysmic change will occur or maybe you have absolutely no clue. No matter what happened going into the incident, your life will forever be changed in a single heart beat.

In the season finale of Rizzoli & Isles (Season 2), there is a shootout involving Jane, her friend Maura, and Maura's father. During the commotion, Jane fatally shoots Maura's father.

It doesn't matter if the incident occurred by accident or not is immaterial. A friend killed your father, the man who raised you and loves you. Could you recover from such a horrendous incident?  These are just a few of the thoughts that Maura must contemplate in the upcoming third season.

 At this point in my life, I haven't had a riff in a friendship caused by tragedy. I have had friends who have acted poorly or made bad decisions. But, these actions primarily effect their lives. While I disagreed with their choices, there was minimal impact directly on my life. My choice to continue the friendship was a difficult one. But ultimately, I ended the relationship because I feared that these people would hurt me like they did others.
