More Fish on Friday, even after Easter- Gorton's Seafood Fisherman Friday review/giveaway

When I was growing up, Friday meals meant fish day. Whether it was stick sticks at school or shrimp at dinner, every Friday meal had fish in it.

Since the beginning of the year, I've started my family on this tradition. While my husband is still getting used to the change, the kids have fully embraced Fish Fridays. To make the transition easier, I started the kids on fish sticks. A super crunchy fish stick, like Gorton's, with a little ketchup worked out great. The kids began to like the taste and we could expand our fish dinners.

Over a couple of weeks, I introduced the family to tilapia, salmon and shrimp. Gorton's offers a huge variety of frozen fish products. It was easy to cook a few pieces and save the rest for another day. Most importantly if the kids didn't like salmon the first try, we tried again. Change the seasoning, side dishes, even just a second introduction made a huge difference. Now my kids look forward to Fish Fridays.

One of their favorite dishes is fish tacos. We use tilapia, which has a great mild taste. The Gorton's Tilapias Grilled Signature Filets work great. Add some mango salsa, jicama, and a tortilla and we have dinner that everyone loves.
