Getting my kids to eat more fruits and vegetables, Copy-Kids Eat Fruits and Vegetables DVD review/giveaway

It used to be a struggle getting my kids to eat their fruits and vegetables. I tried to hide the items in their dinners. Somehow they would find the hidden piece of zucchini or cauliflower. My other option was to convince them that fruits and veggies would make them strong like Superman. But, have you ever seen Superman eat? Exactly, this statement was not very convincing.

What finally worked for my kids was when they saw their friends eating all the foods that they previously disliked. Some lightbulb went off in their heads that said the peaches, watermelon, green beans and broccoli actually tasted good. It was because they saw someone else their age eat and enjoy it. That is the concept behind Copy-Kid Eat Fruits and Vegetables DVD.

Copy Kids Eat Fruits and Vegetables is divided into 12 chapters where each chapter focuses on a different fruit or vegetable. Included in this video are bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots, avocado, tomatoes, broccoli, oranges, bananas, raspberries, strawberries, apples and a blueberries.

The concept of this DVD is simple. Kids will copy other kids eating their vegetables and fruits. Have your kids watch this video a couple of times and hopefully they will want to be like the other kids on the video. I've seen this concept work and hopefully it will work in your house too.

Copy Kids Eat Fruits and Vegetables is from Copy-kids, a media company that encourages positive habits in young children. These videos are intended for children agents 6 months to 5 years.

  6. I used bribery when my daughter was younger, but now that she is almost 7, the rules are getting stricter. She either eats what's put in front of her, or she doesn't eat. I respect the fact there are certain foods she just doesn't like and she is allowed healthy alternatives, but gone are the days of being rewarded for eating veggies.

  7. I set the example by doing so as well. Children naturally want what you want, so setting the example for healthy nutritious foods right from the beginning eliminates the need for re-training.
