Chefs showcase farm to table cuisine at Good Food Festival

My family is addicted to food programming and trying all types of food. Whether it is Top Chef or Chopped, I seek inspiration from these talented chefs for at home meals.

This weekend the Good Food Festival will highlight several local chefs who are inspired by our local farms.

The Chefs at Play area will showcase special dishes by several chefs. Chef's participating in this event  include Bruce Sherman, North Pond Restaurant, Karyn Calabrese, Karyn's Raw, Karyn's Cooked, Paul Fehriback, Big Jones, Mark Mendez, Vera and Heather Terhune, Sable Kitchen & Bar (also contest on Top Chef Texas). Chef demos are included in the admission price. Be sure to get a seat early for the chef demos (you may get to sample the prepared dish).

The Good Food Festival is being held at UIC Forum. Tickets for the Good Food Festival can be purchased on-line or on the day of the event. Tickets are $20 at the door. Children under the age of 12 are free.

I'll be tweeting from the event on Saturday. Feel free to send me your thoughts or tips on great exhibits - @more4momsbuck or #gffchi.
