Forget the Super Bowl - head to a museum for FREE

Could you care less about a bunch of guys throwing a football?  Do you think all the hype over a commercial is just silly?  Why not explore some of our city's cultural landmarks instead. Plus, it's all FREE.

The Museums on Us program by Bank of America/Merrill Lynch is a perfect way for families to explore our city's wonderful landmarks without the cost.

Here's how the program works. Bank of American customers must show a photo ID and a valid Bank of America/Merrill Lynch credit or debit card to receive one free general admission entrance. Special exhibits and programs are not included in the free admission program. This offer cannot be combined with other offers.

The Museums on Us is offered nation-wide. There are more 50 leading U.S. cultural institutions, in 91 cities across the country, open their doors to bank cardholders on the first full weekend of each month. Participating institutions include museums, historical sites, botanical gardens, science centers and zoos.  This program will be offered again March 3 and 4.

In the Chicago area the participating locations are:

Adler Planetarium (new for 2012)
The Art Institute of Chicago
Chicago History Museum
Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago
Shedd Aquarium
