Perfect fall family outing, apple orchards

A fun outing for families in the Chicago area is visiting a u-pick apple orchard. Luckily in our area, we have many orchards that offer lots of family activities.

All Seasons Apple Orchard
14510 Route 176, Woodstock, IL
With more than 11,000 apple trees and 12 varieties of apples, this orchard has a flavor that your family will like. Also on the property, a 10 acre co en maze, petting zoo, country farm market, indoor grill restaurant, which offers apple donuts, apple cider caramel apples and more.

Homestead Orchard

With a 100 year old horse barn on site, this nostalgic location offers apples, red raspberries and blackberries to pick. Also there is a store with a variety of items available for purchase.

Honey Hill Orchard

Whether you want to pick your own apples or buy from the roadside market, this orchard has something for everyone. The market offers fresh apples, raspberries, pumpkins, apple juice, donuts, pies and candy.

Jonamac Orchards
19412 Shabbona RD, Malta IL,
With over 65 acres to explore for the day, kids will have lots of fun. Activities include horse drawn hayrides, 10 acre corn maze, tractor cab and a barn full of fun. Also, there is a bakery on site with lots of yummy treats.

Knutson's Country Harvest

When you had your fill of u-pick apples, peaches, raspberries, and blackberries, families can take a paddleboat or hayride.

Kuipers Family Farm

This 230 acre family offers lots of entertainment options. In addition to all the yummy treats, the weekends offer a maze.
