Kids can create the new Naperville Public Library card

Would your child like his or her work of art immortalized in the Naperville Public Library's children's library card?

Now through July 31 children can enter the contest to design the children's library card. Children in grades one through five can enter the contest.

To enter the contest, kids can submit their hard copy drawing to any of the three branches of the Naperville Public Library. The three branches are: Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave; Naper Boulevard Library, 2035 S. Naper Blvd.; and the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Dr. Please bring the application, found at www.naperville-lib.info, whenyour child submits his/her drawing.

Carla Nolidis, Nichols Library Circulation supervisor gives the kids some suggestions for their creations. The new library cards will be full of color. Kids are encouraged to use every color in the crayon box. Please submit original designs only. Please use no copyrighted material.

Just for entering the contest, kids will receive a coupon for 2 free slices of pizza at Jump!Zone.

Starting in August, the top 20 designs will be on the NPL website for community voting. The final design will be judged by community leaders. The winning design will become the new Naperville Public Library Children’s Card.

Tell the kids to get creative this summer and create a piece of art that could become part of the Naperville community
