June is Leave No Child Inside month

After being inside all school year, the summer is time for the kids to be active and get outside.

The Chicago Wilderness Alliance is offering a series of free families events to encourage families to get outside and be active. These events encourage children's sense of wonder and appreciation for nature. Also, these events are designed for families to enjoy together.

"Leave No Child Inside Month events are designed to bring families together around enriching experiences in nature and inspire the curiosity that leads to a life-long connection to the natural world," said Melinda Pruett-Jones, Executive Director, Chicago Wilderness.
