Fun family events for April 1 through April 3


For many of us, Spring Break is coming to a close. But the weekend is here and there are still tons of activities for the family. 

Here are a few ideas to get the kids out of the house this weekend. 

Friday, April 1: $1 Hot Dogs at Johnny Rockets in honor of Opening Day. For more information, please see here. 

Saturday, April 2: Home Depot Kids Workshop. From 9 am till noon, kids can make a planter box/basket. Offer is valid while supplies last at all local Home Depot locations. 

Saturday, April 2: Chuggington Play date at Toys R Us. From 12 till 2 pm, local Toys R Us stores will host a play date involving your favorite Chuggington characters. Activities include playing with the Chuggington Interactive Railway, coloring sheets and fun giveaways. 

Saturday, April 2: Disney Store, Tangled Adventure, Bring the kids to your local Disney store for Tangled fun. From coloring sheets to prizes, the kids ages 3 and older are welcome to this party. 

Saturday, April 2: Meijer is hosting a MLB Play Ball event. From 11 am till 2, local Meijer stores will be sampling baseball themed food and holding baseball themed giveaways. 

Saturday, April 2: Lululemon Athletic will host its first anniversary celebration. From 10 am till 7 pm, the store will be giving away food, giving away prizes and partying all day. 

Sunday, April 3: Michaels will host a Knack Family Make it Take It Easter Egg. Purchase a 7” Easter Egg ($5) and the kids get to decorate it. Supplies provided while supplies last. This activity is recommended for children ages 3 and up.
