Wednesday, March 23 is the KidsMatter job fair. The job fair will be from 5 pm till 7:30 pm at North Central College’s Merner Fieldhouse. This youth-only job fair will host over 27 local businesses. All business will be offering our local youth part-time job opportunities for summer and seasonal jobs.
In addition to the job opportunities, the KidsMatter job fair will help prepare our local youth for the workforce through the following aspects.
- How to Start Your Own Business Workshop
- Mock Interviews, hosted by local business community representatives
- Resume Building
- Internship opportunities and information
- Parent workshop: How to support your teen’s job search and employment experience without adding stress.
- Career opportunities: presenters include Naperville Police Department, Naperville Fire Department, Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, Marines, Hair Professional School of Cosmetology and several others.

The 2011 Kids Matter job fair is possible through the sponsorship grant from The DuPage Community Foundation and KidsMatter business sponsors: Illinois Energy Windows & Siding, Chicagoland Pool Management, Glancer Magazine, and Illinois State Representative, Darlene Senger.
