Free family movies at the Paramount Theater Sundays in January

Looking to get the kids out of the house, but not sure what to do and don’t want to spend a ton of cash?  The Paramount Theater in Aurora is offering free family movies every Sunday in January.

Each Sunday, a family friendly movie will be shown. The concession stands will be open to sell a variety of treats to enjoy during the show.

The free family movie schedule is:
  • January 9, 2011: Madagascar
  • January 16, 2011: All Dogs Go to Heaven
  • January 23, 2011: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
  • January 30, 2011: Partly Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
The free family movie starts at 1 pm.  Since this special event is free, advance tickets are not available. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.

The Paramount Theater is located at 23 East Galena Boulevard Aurora, IL 60506.  Local parking is available at the City Garage located on the corner of Stolp & Downer, just one block South of the Paramount or at the public lot located on Broadway, across from Walter Payton's Roundhouse.

The Paramount Theater has been named one of the Top 10 theatres in Chicago by the League of Chicago Theatres. As an anchor to the city of Aurora, the theater brings in approximately $3.3 million in ancillary revenue to the city. The Theater hosts a variety of free community events including the Midwest Literary Festival, the Air Force Band Concert, the Aurora Idol Competition, and staging the annual Fox Valley Park District children's production.
