Chicago Wolves, a family fun-filled hockey night

Last Saturday, my family and I enjoyed a night at the Chicago Wolves. My boys are officially huge Chicago Wolves hockey fans.

The Wolves do an amazing job making the game entertaining for families. The team introductions are full of flames and huge fireworks. From where we were sitting, we could feel the heat from the flames. My kids loved the theatrics, but for some small children, it may be a little much.  But my family thought that it’s a great way to start a game.

In addition to the fast paced hockey, the Wolves mascot Skates gets the crowd energized. With the cheering, dancing and even a t-shirt toss, the kids will not be bored.

We participated in the shuck a pack in between the second and third period. The object is to get your “puck” closest to the target on the ice. Don’t worry, these are soft foam pucks. All the proceeds go to charity. The closest to the target wins a special prize. While we didn’t win, the boys had a great time throwing the pucks at the ice.

Chicago Wolves hockey is affordable for the family. Game tickets start at $9. One great offer is a family four pack. This special includes 4 hockey tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 sodas. Depending on your seat location, ticket packages range between $63 and $136. The Wolves also offer special packages for groups, birthdays, and season ticket packages.

The Wolves season continues through April 10. There are several weekend games available. For the complete schedule, please see the Wolves website.

The Chicago Wolves play at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.  Parking at the Allstate Arena costs $11.
