Yes, I'm starting my Christmas cards now... and no I'm not crazy

I know, Halloween is Sunday. It's still relatively warm outside (for me that means, there's no snow on the ground). And yes, I'm working on Christmas cards. I know, call me crazy, but you need to see our family calendar. I'm sure that many of you can relate.

I don’t know about your house, but if I don’t start planning my Christmas cards by Halloween, I won’t be sending Christmas cards this year. Yes, I know, every year, the Christmas season gets earlier and earlier. But, we’re all busy and sometimes our schedules (and even our budgets) could use a little help from advance planning.

So, knowing that I better get planning, I turned to Shutterfly to start my Christmas cardsLuckily, I have tons of options available. Our family likes to send flat photo cards (because my husband writes an annual newsletter with the photo card.)

First, the key to a good Christmas photo card is the photo of course. In my house, I like a traditional photo along with a fun kids’ photo. Shutterfly has numerous multi-photo cards available.

Personally I like the Colorful Joy 2010 style because you don’t have to use the same old boring photo. This style is perfect for family vacation photos, which we’re lucky to have this year. Since we get lots of Christmas cards, I’m drawn to cards that have bright colors that stick out among all the reds and greens.

Shutterfly has holiday cards, flat photo cards, folded greeting cards, Christmas stationary, Christmas invitations and even Christmas gift tags for all those Christmas presents under the tree.

The holidays are a great time to reconnect with family and friends. Why not design a festive card on Shutterfly and put a smile on your friends’ faces.
