Put on your best lederhosen and get ready to chicken dance!
The annual Naperville Oktoberfest is back. On October 1 and October 2, Naper Settlement will be hosting the Naperville Oktoberfest celebration. This year’s celebration is a fundraiser for the Naperville Heritage Society.
Of course an Oktoberfest celebration wouldn’t be complete without food and fun. My Chef Catering will provide a variety of German food, including traditional bratwurst and apple strudel. Also, there will be a variety of beer, soft drinks and German wines from Blue Heron Brands.
New to Oktoberfest this year are special chidlren’s activities. The Naperville Cultural Center and Blick Art Materials are sponsoring the children’s activities. Also, volunteers from the German School will be on-site in traditional German clothing. They will also assist with the face painting, balloons, crafts and games.
Here is a complete schedule of events:
Friday, Oct. 1
4-6 p.m.: Rotary Hour (Rotary Club members should show identification and their Rotary International pin for free admission)
8-10 p.m.: Evil Wayz, Santana tribute band
Saturday, Oct. 1
