Fun summer fun this July at Naperville Public Libraries


It's getting hot this summer. Kids are busy with sports, pool and general fun. But don't forget about all the wonderful programs that Naperville Public Library offers for families.

Here are some of July's special programs being offered. Also, don't forget about weekly family story time and the library's summer reading program.

Thursday, July 8 at 1:30 pm, Nichols Library:  Totally Frogs leaps and splashes through ribbit-tastic stories and a craft too. This event is for children of all ages. No registration required, but a caregiver must be present.

Friday, July 9 at 10:30 am, Naper Blvd. Library: Totally Frogs leaps and splashes through ribbit-tastic stories and a craft too. This event is for children of all ages. No registration required, but a caregiver must be present.

Friday, July 9 at 2:00 pm, Naper Blvd Library, Creating Book Marks is a program for teens where they create an original bookmark for themselves or a friend. The library will provide all the supplies and the teen will provide the imagination. On-line registration is required.

With stories, songs and a craft, everyone will enjoy the black and red extravaganza. This event is for children of all ages. No registration required, but a caregiver must be present.

Friday, July 16 at 10:30 am, 95th Street Library, Ladybug, Ladybug, Fly Away Home helps these lovable buggies make their way home. Saturday, July 17 at 1:00 pm, 95th Street Library, Beach Blanket Party and Summer Movie, Enjoy the movie One Crazy Summer. Bring a towel for lounging and the library will provide the popcorn and snacks. No registration required, but this program is for teens.

Monday, July 19 at 10:30 am, Nichols Library, Beach Party, Put on your favorite beach gear and bright Hawaiian prints for some beach fun. There will be singing, dancing and a puppet show. This event is for children of all ages. No registration required, but a caregiver must be present.

Thursday, July 22 at 12:00 pm, 95th Street Library, Anime Marathon. For those who can't get enough Anime, come to the library for an episode of Naruto and some Japanese themed snacks. No registration is required, but this event is for teens.
