ReplyDeleteMy kids are big iced tea drinkers & gatorade drinkers. Arizona big cans which are usually 99 cents go on sale 2 for 99 cents. And Gatorade 10 for $10 the bigger bottles. When gatorade goes on sale I fill my cart, my children play 2 sports at a time every season so you could imagine the amount of sport drinks we go through.

Stock up on the meat and freeze it.
ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to find extra storage so you can buy more when it's on sale. I recently cleaned out an entire cupboard that was full of my old pot and pan set "just in case".

When walking into a grocery store planning on on picking up 10 items or less? Don't get a huge cart!
ReplyDeleteSave your money and Grab a basket. Now you have an extra excuse NOT to buy that extra item.

My savings was HUGE during the sale since I transfered two prescriptions to Kroger . One of my Kroger receipts showed 101% savings! leandrea246 (at) hotmail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteWe stock up whenever Kroger has a $1 sale on items - cheese, pasta, sauce, cereal, etc. That way we can use the items for months and save lots of money.
ReplyDeleteCollecting manufacturer coupons and use on sale items to stock up on items can save you tons instead of buying what you meed at that moment.
ReplyDeleteWait for rock bottom prices & combine with coupons (double & triple at Kroger) to get the best deals.
ReplyDeleteas much meats as I can buy
ReplyDeleteGet a small freezer so when there are really good meat or frozen food sales you can stock up and have a place to store them without worrying about them not fitting in your fridge freezer.
ReplyDeleteI try to stock up on things that I can freeze for later as much as possible.
ReplyDeleteMatch up coupons from the paper with items that are on sale, of course. Freeze things that you don't need right away.

I use coupons and also pair them with any special sales the store may be running. Just went to Safeway and got $60 worth of groceries for 23.36 and also earned $23.50 in catalina dollars to use on a future trip.

ReplyDeleteMy best tip is to stop and take a moment before checking out to be sure you have everything in order. If I don't, then for sure I will realize I didn't get enough of something or misplaced a coupon, and it's always more stressful to find out when you are halfway through checking out.

My best tip is to match up coupons with the loss leaders at sales like this. there are many internet sites that can help you do that!! Thanks so much! pamelashockley(AT)netscape(DOT)net
ReplyDeleteMy best tip for saving money and spending wisely during stock-up sales is to never go to the store on an empty stomach, so you can avoid buying items you might crave but don't necessarily need! And buying items that are non-perishable or easily stored or frozen for long periods is always smart. Thanks!
