Are your kids saying we're bored Mom? What are we doing today Mom? But Mom, we did that last week.
I've heard many of those phrases the past couple of days. Yes, summer is fun, but finding new activities can be difficult.
Here's a great opportunity for Naperville families this week.
On Thursday, July 30 at 11 am, Naperville Park District will be hosting an naming ceremony at SpringField Park honoring Candance Parker. The newly renovated basketball court will be renamed the Candance Parker Basketball Court.
Candance Parker is a gold winning Olympic athlete. She was the 2008 WNBA top draft pick for the LA Sparks, which is her current team. Ms. Parker started her basketball career at Naperville Central High School and is an alumnus of University of Tennessee.
In addition to the ceremony, the first 500 attendees will receive giveaways from Gatorade, Adias and McDonalds. Also, there will be the opportunity to win a pair of Ms. Parker's athletic shoes by Adias.
Spring-Field Park is located at 2031 Springside Circle in Naperville. Since this park is located in a residential neighborhood, please use off-site parking. A shuttle bus will be available at Kingsley Elementary School. Buses will run from 10 am until 1:30 pm.

Let's all go and celebrate one of Naperville's finest this week.
